Carpe Diem

I think poets are meant to write verses as often as their breath would allow them.

And runners should run as far as their strength can take them.

And teachers should not cease to train children as patiently and wisely as love would enable them.

And travelers! Must take time to see hidden roads and smile at strangers from another world.

I don’t think Life must be put on hold and asked to wait.

I don’t think breath was breathed on us so that we would disintegrate into death and boredom.

I think… if we would be bold enough to believe Love for all it offers,

then we can truly be poets, or runners, or teachers, or travelers…

or whatever we were created to be.

And it would bring Love so much joy…

seize the day
