the green light

Ananias heard God. He was commanded to go to Saul. (Saul, the man who murders people like him. Saul, the very person he should avoid if he does not want to be martyred sooner than later.) This, my friends, is one crazy instruction to receive. It is synonymous to showing yourself to your enemy. Imagine your predator living in a house and knocking onto that house’s door. So Ananias tried to remind God (as if God needed to be informed) that Saul kills Jesus’ followers. And I could just attempt to imagine God’s response: GO! Acts 9:15

This is one of those awesome moments when God commands a man to ‘go.’ There is another one that is brought to mind: Go and make disciples

I don’t know how much louder God has to shout that command in order for us to hear it. I don’t know how many more excuses He has to interrupt in order to get our attention to the urgency and intensity of the love-matter. I love my people so please go and please go now. Don’t make excuses. Don’t shrink back in cowardice. Don’t question my ways. Go in faith. Go in obedience. Go and overcome. 🙂

This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4
