impossible is nothing

So Friday morning we had some high school kids come over to my house — attendance mix of three religions — and had some small chat. Shared a bit of my personal testimony and invited them to join us for five meetings of preparation for Freedom Weekend. Then we watched the movie Facing the Giants. 🙂

God ministered to us through the movie. And I think that, more than the kids, I was so encouraged to be reminded that nothing is impossible with God. The timing was just amazing because I just listened to Ptr. Judah Smith’s preaching “What’s Your Point,” (You can also check out “Count the Stars“) which overwhelmed me with its anointed illustration of the kind of faith that God has called each one of us to, one that is marked by risking everything because we know that our God is ONE and He is worthy of our complete trust. I really felt God breathing life again unto the great vision He’s given. All of a sudden, I see things more clearly and with greater faith. Truly this is the season!

Mr. Bridges: Revelation Chapter 3 says: We serve a God that opens doors that no one can shut, and he shuts doors that no one can open. He says: Behold, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut….

Mr. Bridges: God will send the rain when He’s ready. You need to prepare your field to receive it.

Movie ends with Eagles beating the Giants in a historic football game. I love that the team is called Eagles because my alma mater’s varsity teams are also called Eagles. 🙂 Go Eagles! Holy Spirit make us soar.
